Color definitions

I would use CleanImport, a plugin from http://www.electropubs.com, to
remove existing formatting (including the color defs) and impose a
clean template with your proper definition set....

I'm not sure why the colors would be persistent unless the Word
tagging scheme somehow  reimposes them...
