wmf files across platforms

WMF stands for Windows Metafile Format. I'm not a Mac user, but I
believe WMF files are about as Mac-compatible as PIC files are
Windows-compatible -- which is to say, not. :-) 

On the Windows machine, save them in a format that's not
Windows-specific. I'd try AI, EPS, and PDF.
