Unbelievable On-Line Help Stupidity

Alas, XP comes with many interface options. Unless you know all of them,
the help can be confusing.

What's worse is walking someone through troubleshooting when *your* XP
interface doesn't match *theirs*. I spent fruitless minutes on the phone
with a friend before I realized that *her* Explorer interface was set up
to show one window at a time! I use multiple windows. Yikes! :^O.

I am on Windows XP Professional.

The instructions you list ("Click Start, click Shut Down, and then in
the drop-down list click Shut Down") are perfectly correct for my
computer. That is exactly what I see.
