TW-866 Project Coordinator - Staff - Evanston, IL (local candidates only)

A leading healthcare company needs someone to coordinate the development of 
multilingual versions of healthcare questionnaires. Originally developed in 
English, the questionnaires are being translated into nearly 50 different 
languages


You will:

o. Contact linguists/translators for all phases of the translation project 
(forward, backward, reconciling review, finalizing and proofreading).

o. Track language version development via phoning, faxing, email and 
maintaining contact with relevant parties

o. Prepare and organize documents for each phase of the translation 
process: creating item history, and updating as each step of translation is 
done.

o. Compare English back-translation with source and provide comments on 
discrepancies.

o. Assist with decision-making process for finalizing each translation.

o. Organize language files and item histories.

o. Provide report writers with all documentation necessary for report writing.


Requirements:

o. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and responsiveness to 
deadlines (required)
o. Strong experience with MS Word and Access (both required)
o. Fluency in a second language (Required)
o. Experience with Adobe FrameMaker a plus
