Error while trying to generate TOC

Manually open the offending file, which was apparently created
and last saved from an older version of FrameMaker, and save it
from your current version of FrameMaker.

The issue is that when you are doing any sort of scripted operation
on a FrameMaker book (whether it's a built-in function like Update
Book or Print Book or some third-party script or plug-in), FrameMaker
must be able to open each file in the book without any kind of event
like a warning message. Basically, there is no way for the scripted
operation to suppress these messages or to dismiss them once
they appear, so the operation can only fail when one of them does
occur. The solution is to make sure that every component can be
opened without any sort of message, whether it's the "older version"
message you're encountering or a "missing fonts" message or an
"unresolved cross-reference" message.

My opinions only; I don't speak for Intel.

Subject: Error while trying to generate TOC

Hi,

While generating the TOC for a book, I encountered the following error:

e:\docs\framemaker\WS\frontpage.fm
Couldn't open frontpage.fm, because it was created with a previous
version of FrameMaker.

Can any of you advise me how to trouble shoot this error?

Thanks,
Deepsy.
