Framemaker stalls at install

Hi Gail,

I'm uncertain whether your situation was the same as mine, but when I
updated from FM 6.0 to FM 7.1, I found that after I removed 6.0, I could
not run 7.1. So I reinstalled 6.0, followed by the 7.1 upgrade. Now 7.1
works correctly.

One of our users has been getting the following error message when
attempting to open FrameMaker. We went into programs and did the
"Add/Remove" for the existing FrameMaker, and then installed the new
FrameMaker 7.0.

The Operating System is XP, but in the Framelog it is referring to
Windows NT.

 

Any ideas?
