Adobe Unveils Technical Communication Suite

I wondered the same thing. From what it looks like to me, RoboHelp
supports Framemaker in that it imports .fm and .mif files. Since they
don't list Frame as a supported "authoring environment", it doesn't look
like it is heavily integrated (/assumption).

Here's what I gleaned off the website:

"Support for Adobe FrameMaker 8 (Enhanced)

Import multiple Adobe FrameMaker(r) files (MIF and FM) at one time with
tables of contents, indexes, and glossaries. Apply conditional build
tags or user-defined variables to content before importing or when it's
time to publish. Map FrameMaker styles to RoboHelp styles when importing
MIF files. Repurpose FrameMaker content for HTML publishing on import
and use Topic Alias Markers to identify context-sensitive help."

"Which authoring environment does RoboHelp 7 support other than the
built-in HTML editor?
    RoboHelp 7 supports Adobe Dreamweaver(r) CS3; Macromedia(r)
Dreamweaver 8 from Adobe; Microsoft FrontPage 2003; HomeSite 5.5; and
Microsoft Word 2007, Word 2003, Word 2002, and Word 2000."

"Does RoboHelp 7 integrate with FrameMaker?
You can import FrameMaker 8 MIF and FM files with style mapping,
conditional tags, user-defined variables, and Captivate content intact.
Additional RoboHelp 7 and FrameMaker integration can be experienced
through new Adobe Technical Communication Suite software, which includes
RoboHelp 7, FrameMaker 8, Captivate 3, and Adobe Acrobat(r) 3D Version 8
software."

So just how tightly are FM and RH integrated? I can't recall a
successful marriage of the two tools, historically. However, it's only
been a short time since the two were developed under the same roof, so
to speak.

I'd be interested in learning more about how these two tools work
together.
