SORT ORDER

Hello All,
working in InDesign this moment. Have to generate an index. Can't find any sort order control in here. I mean there are default language options for sorting orders but if I wanted my own alphabetical sequence (just like you can do in FrameMaker with its Reference pages) there are none.
Does anyone have a clue about it?
How do I create a completely custom sorting order in InDesign?
