PDF to PDF Links on Linux

Alan, 

I've used acroread 8.1.2 and 8.1.3, as well as gnome pdfviewer.  I had hoped we had fixed this by using the message command under 81.3. 
The Unix box has been unavailable to me, but I will get to it tonight or tomorrow.  Do you know of any "gotchas" to look out for on Unix, such as file naming conventions, that would be different from Linux?
