Additionally to the other editors, which were
cited (UltraEdit, ConTEXT, SciTE Text Editor,
Crimson Editor, Programmer's File Editor), I have
also heard of these:
jEdit http://www.jedit.org/
MED http://www.med-editor.com/
NoteTab http://www.notetab.com/
