Customizing underline formatting

Hi All,

We'd like to create a character tag that uses a grey underline (to be
used for links to glossary terms). Is there any way to create a
customized underline or to modify one of the existing styles?

Alternatively, is there any way to have Distiller convert the format of
a FrameMaker character tag, so that the pdf versions will use a grey
underline even though the source FrameMaker files use the standard
single, double, or numerical underlines?

We use structured FrameMaker 7.x on Windows XP.
