off topic: Watermark in Word

Deirdre,

I can think of two things: 1. Some kind of bizarre spell check or auto
replace accident, or 2. A memory or file corruption issue that is
causing the characters to drop out during printing. 

I print all kinds of documents regularly with no problem, but I have one
269 page PDF that drops most of the characters from the headings,
headers, and footers from some pages but not others. If I print the
offending pages one at a time they print fine! I can also fix it by
using the "reduce file size" feature in Acrobat and saving back to an
earlier version of PDF.

Hey all:

Off topic, but we are printing a word document and have a watermark
(EXAMPLE) behind jpgs in the Appendix.  The word EXAMPLE is printing
with letters missing.  I've printed the document out before without this
problem.  It seems to have developed in the past week.

Anyone experience something similar?
