Batch file for deleting paragraph and character styles

I just inherited a manual from another office. It's filled with tons of
paragraph and character formats that aren't used. Does anyone know of a
batch file or plugin that will let me delete all of the unused paragraph
and character formats in a book file and the chapter files within it?
