Getting earlier version of FM

Yes, that's all that should be required, with the provisio that 8
features that weren't in 6 (such as unicode support) are going to be
inoperative if anyone should open it in 6 again. My own personal
disclaimer: I'm just talking about file formats here, not SGML / XML /
other structure elements that you may need to deal with. I wasn't
working with SGML at the time, so I don't know if there are any
gotchas in that area.

But the cleanest way to do it would be to say that you can save back
to 6 but recommend just moving forward to 8 for ease of use.
