Transition From FrameMaker 7.2 to FrameMaker 9

9 uses a different file format, so you would probably want to keep an
insurance copy /archive of your 7 files, just in case. I think the
only problem would be the same one that you'd encounter moving from 7
to 8 -- unicode support requires some changes to upper-order
characters inserted in 7 files.

7 and 9 can co-exist on the same system, BTW.
