Mysterious files from FM

Jon,
I have seen files named similar to this. They were the result of a crash,
usually relating to a full system crash rather than a Frame crash.
Did you have this particular document open when your system lost power, or a
similar problem?
Typically the original file is no longer available. I have renamed these,
deleting the extraneous characters, then reopening them. I would recommend
checking the document carefully for any corrupted information.
No guarantees, but this is what I have experienced.
HTH
Regards,

Have you recently upgraded WinXP to SP3? This thread from the Frameusers
archive talks about a problem with SP3 and imported OLE objects.

Hope That Helps,

Everyone,
I have an FM 7.2 (Windows XP Pro) book that I update on occasion. In the
directory in which the book resides, FM has created several files that
neither Windows nor FM recognizes. The files have endings such as
*.fm.8F8, *.auto.fm.108, and *.fm.6E8. Anyone know what these files are?
