Superscript character tag questions--Take 2

I find that for the non-registered trademark marking (superscripted TM), the best solution is to use the glyph that is provided in most Windows fonts, since that glyph is already scaled and elevated to match the font. The registered trademark symbol, on the other hand, does need to be reduced and raised in many fonts, including Times New Roman.

 

The code point for the TM symbol is 0153 in the Windows:Western character set for most fonts, which meand you should be able to hold Alt and type 0153 on the numeric keypad to get ti (or paste it from the Character Map accessory). If you're using Unicode font encoding, you can try code point 2122 (0x99), which is what works for Times New Roman.
