Very slow when printing either to Adobe PDF or Print To File

PDFCreator appears to be an open-source project, and I'm sure it's fine for what it does. But is your IT dept. aware that you have an Adobe Acrobat 8 license? They should be helping you troubleshoot the problem with Acrobat 8, not suggesting you discard it for some freebie alternative.

That message strongly suggests that FM isn't aware of your Acrobat Distiller and/or Adobe PDF printer installation. By any chance, was Acrobat installed before FM? Have you tried reinstalling/repairing Acrobat? In Printers and Faxes, do you have an Adobe PDF printer instance? Is its port set to My Documents\*.pdf?
