We had a somewhat similar problem, but with document names. We finally defined a variable for each doc name and imported all the variables into all our files. You might have to do the same sort of thing for the chapter titles in each manual; there might be a slicker way to go, but this way would certainly work. = mike bradley www.techpubs.com
