Adobe 3D Reviewer - Viewing a Section

Hello Framers,

 

My apologies for the off-topic post. I'm using the Adobe 3D Reviewer utility (came with Acrobat Pro-Extended in TCS1, Windows XP) to create views of ProE models. When I use the section tool to cut into a part, the cut edges are displayed as a shell and not as a solid part and I cannot figure out where the problem is coming from. I've solicited the help of an internal mechanical engineer and it appears that the problem may be related to how the software is working. 

 

Has anyone encountered this before and found a solution? Thanks in advance!
