Hi David,
You have a couple of options available to you if you aren't against spending a
few pennies.
First, Rick Quatro has devised a Frame plugin that does exactly what you need.
It's called "FindChangeSpecial" and at $30 it's a bargain when you consider the
amount of work it will save you. I've had it for several years now and wouldn't
part with it. You can find it at:

Second, SiliconPrairie has a utility called Paragraph Tools that allows you to
create a paragraph conversion list that you can apply to your entire book all in
one go. You can't beat the $10 price tag.

Between the two of them you'll have your book in shape in no time.

Subject: Changing templates - converting paragraph tags
I am changing to a new template with totally different master pages,
paragraph tags, etc. I was hoping to do a find and replace to change my
book to use the new paragraph styles. However, in Frame 7.2, I can find
a paragraph tag but the replace options only include to change to Text,
change the character format, or "by pasting".
I know I can redefine my existing paragraph tags to match something in
the new template but then the tag names won't match those in the new
template. Does anyone have a suggestion other than changing the
paragraph tag for each paragraph in a 300 page book?
Thanks for the help in advance.
David
