Contract Description: 

 

* Duration: unspecified

* Location: Onsite - Milpitas, CA

* Description: Technical Writer will create Product Manufacturing
Procedures, and update Maintenance and Service Manuals in U.S. English
for semiconductor wafer metrology wafer process control systems. 

 

Requirements:

 

* Adheres to company Style Guide

* Uses provided Frame Maker v8.0/9.0 Templates

* Obeys clean room protocol when working in clean room

* Interviews engineers, Subject Matter Experts, and other technical
personnel both on location and in international offices

* Keeps track of tasks to ensure that they are in line with the project
plan

* Familiarity with statutory/legal (such as Semi and CE) information
that should be included in the documentation

* Must work on-site, no telecommuting is available for this position.

 

Required technical experience:

 

* Five years plus of relevant technical writing experience.

* Knowledge of semiconductors, semiconductor measurement tools and the
semiconductor industry is highly desirable.

* Demonstrated experience (with writing samples/portfolio) of writing
various Technical Publications, including Maintenance, Installation, and
Operations documents for technical products

* In-depth knowledge of the following software applications:

- Adobe FrameMaker v8.0 or v9.0

- Adobe Acrobat v8.0 or v9.0

- Adobe Photo Shop or Paint Shop Pro

            - Microsoft Office Suite

 

Personal qualities:

 

* Analytical and methodical with an attention to detail

* Flexible and positive attitude

* Self-motivated, shows initiative and common sense

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal
supervision

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
