Extracting embedded graphics from Word

Hi All,
Another way to get the graphics involves using Word 2007.

1. Create a copy of the file saving it using the .docx extension.

2. Go to the folder where you saved the docx.

3. Change the file extension from .docx to .zip. For example, "sample.docx" would become "sample.zip". A zip file is created.

4. Extract the contents of the zip file.

5. Open the extracted folder, and go to word > media. All of the images used in the document are in the "media" folder in their original file format. The original names of the images are lost, but you have all of the images in one folder.

I hope that helps!

Thanks,

Steven P. Gaghan
