FM 8 - Can't Delete Color Definitions

Absolutely correct. Which is why a MIF wash works as an easy way to get rid of the color definitions. Now that you've got the MIF file(s), open *that* file from FrameMaker and then do a Save As to convert it back to FrameMaker binary format.
