Alison,

I'm FM9.0p250 with Acrobat 9.3.1 Pro Extended, but I've done this as far
back as FM6 with older versions of Acrobat.

>From your existing right (odd page) and left (even page) master pages,
create new master pages. Call them something like LeftRotate and
RightRotate. Then, rotate the new master pages so the header is on the
right side of the page. Now rotate the main text area to properly fill the
rotated (now landscape) page (that is, the text starts at the top left of
the landscape page). Leave your headers and footers alone. Just rotate the
main body of the page and reshape it to fit the now landscape page. Don't
change the text flow. You now have lots of room for your landscape tables,
and your paragraph catalog still works as you expect. When you need to
insert your landscape tables, assign the appropriate RightRotate or
LeftRotate master page. Save As PDF will print it correctly. When you
print hardcopy from the PDF, select auto rotate and center.

Regards,
Richard
