Importing Flare files into Frame 7.2 or 8

Hi Joanne,

Flare files are basically XHTML files and there is no way to directly import
them into FrameMaker. Are you using structured or unstructured FrameMaker?
If you really want to do this, it could probably be scripted with
FrameScript. If you are interested in a scripting solution, please contact

Hi folks,

(I'm running both Frame 7.2 and 8 from TCS on a Windows XP box.)

I've inherited guides in a variety of formats and need to merge 3 guides
into one. The catch is that 2 are in Frame while one is in Flare. Since I'm
far more adept in Frame I thought I'd move the one guide to that format but
I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it. I need to preserve as
much formatting as possible or this job will be endless. Is there a trick?
