Spacebar Doesn't Always Create a Space

Check with your IT department. Make sure permissions haven't been changed on the network server. That caused me a ton of problems with receiving comments.

Format > Document > Text Options

Clear the Smart Spaces checkbox, and you'll be able to add all the 
unnecessary spaces you want...  ;-)
