Senior Technical Writer/Senior  Content Developer - 6-month contract position in Mountain View, CA






Responsibilities:
* Conduct technical reviews and coordinate editorial reviews

* Plan, develop, and maintain documentation for enterprise-level products

* Work collaboratively as part of a globally-distributed team
* Communicate proactively and think creatively to ensure that problems are solved and impediments are overcome in a timely fashion

* Apply professional content development standards and principles to develop end-user documentation 

* Understand content development tools required to deliver products 

* Understand and use content management principles 

* Follow company standards for content development

* Interview and consult with technical subject matter experts to gather information necessary to effectively document product features

* Can work at home 2-3 days per week



Skills:
* An outstanding writer and editor 

* A knowledgeable FrameMaker template designer

* A knowledgeable CSS template designer in RoboHelp

* Have used the Adobe Technical Communication Suite - specifically Adobe FrameMaker v10 and RoboHelp v9

* Unafraid of technology; you are technically inquisitive by nature, and want to know the nitty-gritty details 

* A positive person with a solution-oriented outlook 

* Results-oriented: you get things done, and done well, and are focused on the details 

* Equally successful working alone or as part of a team


Desired:


* Has written about storage management solutions

* Understands virtualization (VMware VDI, vSphere, etc.)


Education:
B.A.. degree in related field and/or related work experience or certificate in continuing education in this industry

Hrs per Week: 40.00
Hrs per Day: 8.00
