Multiple Lang/Character sets in Frame 8 Doc

Hi there, 
 
I have a Frame 8 doc that includes multiple languages and character
sets. When I go to PDF it - the Russian characters do not show up in the
PDF. I am using FrameMaker 8 and Acrobat 9. The languages are set
properly on my computer/keyboard - as I can type in Russian, however the
characters do not appear in the PDF.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
