FrameMaker message client

I use "message URL mailto:name at address.com" where I do the usual changes to "name" and "address.com".

I can find no reference to an e-mail equivalent of 'message URL' in FrameMaker (v 7 here).

Is there a way of initiating an e-mail from a hypertext command, and if there is, is it platform-dependent?
