Learning S1000D

Rick,

I have not run across any books, but there are plenty of vendors providing informational seminars and webinars, many of which turn out to be sales pitches.

SDL is one of the big vendors. They run informational events and webinars that actually contain some information. You can see their past presentations on their website:

There are also some others, such as Inmedius and Corena, that you could look up.

What we understand so far is that S1000D provides great benefits to the customer who is using the data, and huge costs for the suppliers trying to provide it (us).
