Our product manager posted to the Framers group on July 30th with a summary of key highlights of new functionality in FrameMaker 11. He also listed several highly useful resources.

Here is a quick reminder of the webinar this coming webinar, followed by a TWEET you can use if you'd like to help spread the word. I follow that with short URL links to 3 AdobeTV shows that highlight many new features in FrameMaker 11.

WEBINAR:

Tues August 7th at 10 AM - 11:30 AM Pacific
"What's new in Adobe FrameMaker 11"
Product manager Kapil Verma (@KapilVermaAdobe) will give an indepth demo of the many areas of increased functionality, including (a) more control over "role-based" workspaces, (b) the return of keyboard shortcuts, (c) major enhancements to make XML/DITA authoring even easier, and (d) some significant improvements to rich media, including "hot spot" hyperlinks between vector graphics and relevant text and the ability to auto-generate a hyperlinked parts list from 3D graphics. New features are too numerous to list them all.

TWEET:

Webinar Aug 7 10AM PAC "What's new in Adobe FrameMaker 11" http://adobe.ly/Oj0MTK @KapilVermaAdobe prod mgr demos major new product features

AdobeTV shows with several episodes:

== New in FrameMaker 11: Rich Multimedia Capabilities | Adobe TV http://awe.sm/n1kCU
== New in FrameMaker 11: XML Authoring Features | Adobe TV http://awe.sm/f2ItP
== New in FrameMaker 11: Enterprise Productivity Features | Adobe TV http://awe.sm/l1jyQ

Although the AdobeTV episodes show some exciting capabilities in brief featurette demos, they are not comprehensive. You really need to attend the webinar to "see it all." The webinar will be recorded; register and if you are unable to attend you will be notified of the URL for the recorded episode. Attending also gives you a great chance to ask questions directly to our product manager, Kapil Verma. See you there!

p.s. although you will see a great deal about XML/DITA, FrameMaker is still a terrific authoring solution for people who want single-source output (now to HTML5 via Tech Comm Suite or Server) in "unstructured" mode.
