about learning frame scripts

Hi all,

I need to know where to start to learn Frame Scripts.
I've read Frame Scripts - A Crash Course, but feel I need to understand more before writing any scripts. Is there a place I can find resource for good frame script programming practice, like where should you do error checking? Is there a debugging tool for the script? Best of all, is there a training course of Frame Script in San Jose, CA?
