FM9 does not support helvetica font (any workaround)

I agree with Fred, having used Helvetica for a while , but now using Segoe UI for body text. And of course no discussion of Helvetica is complete without mention of the documentary "Helvetica", which is now available through Netflix and probably other sources as well. http://www.helveticafilm.com/

The appearance difference between Helvetica and Arial is not always so slight. If you are talking about all caps, the differences in most letterforms are pretty subtle (altough a few, like the capital R, are markedly different). But there are a few differences in lower-case letters that are dead giveaways and that significantly change the feel of the typeface.

See the excellent quiz at http://www.ironicsans.com/helvarialquiz/
And an article that will allow you to ace the quiz at http://www.ms-studio.com/articlesarialsid.html

Real Helvetica can look a little over-formal, but at least it nearly always looks harmonious. There are a lot of cases where Arial looks graceless and even ill-proportioned. It's not that Microsoft is incapable of good typeface design--Verdana happens to be a really good face. It' sjust a shame that the one Microsoft font that has become the most widely used is not among their better efforts.

IIRC, default maker.ini file maps Helvetica to Arial in the Unknown to Known Fonts section, so the replacements will become permanent if you turn off Remember Missing Font Names (in File > Preferences > General).
