FrameMaker 9 Find not Finding

This is a very frustrating thing. 
My find command does no longer find what it's supposed to!
I've checked all the settings in the Find box, like case, and book, and 
simple stuff.

Sometimes it finds half the instances, but not all. sometimes it finds it 
if I put the cursor on the same page.
Sometimes it does nothing.

I've tried fixing and even a full reinstall.

I will be switching from XP to Windows soon. Any idea if this will make 
the problem better or worse?
