I have to agree. The complaints about the Stalinesque GUI and the
unworkable pod scheme began immediately on the release of FM 9, and have
been totally ignored in two subsequent releases. It seems sadly clear
that Adobe's claim of listening to FM's end-users is lip service only.

It pains me deeply to have to admit that since "upgrading" to FM 9 and
10 (via TC$), my productivity has dropped significantly. No, it's still
not as bad as "digging to China" in Word's 9-level deep dialogs, but too
many steps have been taken in that direction. (Another example: it used
to be enough to change a graphic's dpi by clicking "Set" in the Graphics
Scaling dialog box. Now we also have to remember to find our way back
to the Object Properties pod and either click "Apply" or press tab
enough times to focus on that button and then press Enter. Slow,
cumbersome, retrograde "improvement.")

I second the motion.
