Hi Rick,

one major difference between SGML and XML is that SGML is not case-sensitiv regarding the names of elements or attributes (and name tokens).

An SGML application would treat these elements as equal or attributes/name tokens as duplicates, although they are not meant to be. Similar names have to be changed to unique values.

I do not well remember the details, but this posting here:

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/1994Nov/0073.html

states that predefined attribute values also have to be unique.

So you should check these values as well.
