Sometimes it is beneficial to call attention to specific pages or items
within a document.

For example, when releasing an update of a large document, you may want to
call attention to specific updated items, or during review iterations you
want your reviewers to take note of particular issues that need to be
addressed. Or you may want to add information that is not included in the
actual document, such as printing recommendations. You can use Acrobat
notes, which are readily visible in the Comments pane in Reader or when
paging through the document, for all of the above.

Using the FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers add-on, you can define such notes
through ~Note hypertext markers embedded in the source FrameMaker files,
with complete control of the note's properties: icon, title, color,
location, initial open/closed state. When defining longer notes or for
future maintenance purposes, text for the note can be stored in an external
text file.
