DITA to Drupal Round Tripping and DITA to Confluence round-tripping

Has anyone ever used Drupal as a CMS and/or front-end tool and/or Confluence? The Support Guys want to use DITA as an authoring tool. The KB site is currently authored in Confluence and then ported to Drupal. If anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate your words of wisdom on this scenario.
