I thought I'd invented the term 'wordmonger' (in 1995, during a bout of more than usually furious concentration), as in 'one who sells words', but years later I discovered that the word already existed, and meant 'a writer who uses words for show or without particular regard for meaning'.

Sigh. Such is life.
