Text inset setup

Linda,

 

You do need a special anchor in the container file and then in the inset, you need  the same anchor followed by a non-breaking space. This helps correct a formatting bug in FM. I still have all the documentation from when we did this so many years ago. Lemme'  know if you want it.

It's been a long time and at least a couple of FM versions (FM 10 or maybe even 8) since I set up text insets. Before I do more work than necessary, I want to be sure nothing has changed.

You don't need a specific tag for an inset, but it is a good idea to have a space or non-breaking space immediately before the pilcrow of the paragraph that will hold the inset. (That's to avoid a little FM formatting bug.) Put your cursor ahead of the space and use File > Import > File. The inset file itself does not need to start with any special tag or space.
