tool tip speed setting WAS: It's the little things that make you crazy

That's why I love this list. I haven't thought about the setting in Edit>Preferences>Interface settings for quite a while.
As well as Tooltips Appearance > Hidden you might want to give the Fast setting a try.

Here’s mine. 
   
FrameMaker 10, Windows 
   
In tabbed display, when I point at the X to close the document, FrameMaker frequently displays the document pathname and then becomes unresponsive for several seconds. This is really annoying. Is there some way to turn off this “feature”
 (displaying pathname when pointing at a tab)?
