FM12 Transparent Graphics

I have the same problem and tried several way to create a transparent
background, but it always comes up white. It is for an annual publication
due Sept 1.  Last year we hacked out the product by creating multiple
custom images with a background that matched the various master page border
colors. I will be watching for a solution.
