Hi Caroline,

Since you're already in Explorer, you can drag the book or file and drop it in the FrameMaker "ribbon" area where the drop-down menus are.

Best,
Louise Kaufman

Hi Caroline,

You may also try resetting the windows file-association for framemaker: Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations

Regards,
Amit

Hi Caroline,

Can you check if "Open documents as Tabs" and "Open composite documents as Tabs" setting is enabled at Edit--> Preferences --> Global --> Interface.

Thanks

Hi,
A question.

Each time I double click on a file in the Windows Explorer, a new instance of FrameMaker opens. (i.e.. if I want to work with 2 or more books at the same time)

Frame did not behave like this in the previous version that I worked with, and other apps do not behave like this.

1. Does this happen to other people
2. If so, is it really a sort of bug and can it be fixed.
The only way to prevent this, is to always open files from within FrameMaker, which is not always convenient

thanks
