[Framers] Suddenly not working FM functionality?

Subject: Suddenly not working FM functionality?

 

I use SnagIt and SnagIT Editor for my images in Framemaker files. I have set
all the extensions needed (.png, etc.) to open by default in SnagIt Editor.
And I have the preferences for my two installations of SnagIT set
identically. In one out of two FM 10 installations, when I double-click on
an image in FM (such as a .png), voila - it opens in SnagIT Editor as it
always has. On my new system, however, I can double-click until the cows
come home and no .png, no .gif - nada, zip, zilch - will open in SnagIT
Editor.  I have compared every setting between SnagIT on the two systems and
FM and I cannot find a single difference. 

 

I am at a loss - I have to be able to double-click an image in FM to open it
in my default graphics program as I have done for the past gazillion years.
Where should I look/what should do (besides scream, run, and go drink
heavily on this Friday afternoon?)
