I tried renaming tgroup to t-group and it solved the problem; I now get my
table title in the XML.

It doesn't seem to matter what I name the element or whether or not I use RW
rules. I don't get the Table Title element or content in the XML.

maybe FM sees "caption" as a reserved element name.
What happens if you try with a slightly different name?
Why don't you use simply "Title" for the table title (which FM interprets as
table title directly without r/w rule).
