it and moved on. I am pursuing it now because it is appearing in my template, which means it will likely be present in every future document created from that template. Another reason is because I am gearing up to ¨C very, very hopefully -- be training other
SME writers who will all be new to Frame. I¡¯d like it very much if these new learners do not encounter this ¡±distraction¡± while they are learning to use Frame.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">Why does it matter what order is used in the Cross-Reference dialog? That list is merely a convenience to authors when when new cross-references are being added to a document.
You are the only person who ever sees that list, and its order has absolutely no effect on the final document.

Cross-references are point-to-point links that depend on the (semi-)unique marker ID number that FrameMaker assigns the first time you create an x-ref that points to a given paragraph. The order in which targets are listed in the Cross-Reference dialog has
no effect on the functioning of the x-refs.<br>

it¡¯s a pilot error on my part.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
