<p class="MsoNormal">I am trying to change an index from two columns to one column. I use Format/Page Layout/Column Layout and change the column count to 1 and uncheck balance the columns. The index changes to one column except for the first page which remains
 in a two-column format. Can anyone suggest what my error is?</p>
