<p class="MsoNormal">I’ve struggled with this same problem, for a table that spans the double spread, and runs over 10 double pages. I had split the tables into one table for each page, but this was painful, ie, 20 tables in all.

<p class="MsoNormal">I have just recently set these up as two FM Tables, one for left page content and one for right page content. I have set up a master page for the right page with Flow tag B, the left hand table goes into Flow tag A, and the right hand table
goes into Flow tag B. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I use several duplicate Paragraph Tags for the right side, with the same font and spacing as the left, so that the empty paragraphs at heading/sub-heading rows on the right hand pages have the same attributes/row height, but don’t end up
in the TOC, eg, Heading1PlaceHolder. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This might not work with how you manage your table content, but having just worked it through successfully, and not seeing anyone else suggesting it, I thought it might be worth putting up to the list.
