For example, if you try to bring the Console window to the front, the main FrameMaker window will sometimes jump in front of it before it is displayed. This may be what is happening when you display the character palette. Try making FrameMaker's window smaller and then open the character palette.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Speaking of the character palette, this is a pretty odd "application". When you display it, and then click on the FrameMaker window or any other application, it disappears. There is no evidence of it in the Windows task bar, etc., and to redisplay it, you have to go back to the Utilities menu. Did I mention that it is black with white text, making it hard to read. And it has weird, non-conventional scroll buttons. I’m trying to create a right arrow, as in a chemical equation. (I have the special toolbar, but it doesn’t include this.) I can’t seem to get this symbol using the old FM8 method of using a character and applying a “symbol” character tag. I looked online and it suggests using the character palette, but I can’t get that to open. It seems maybe that was in FM9, but not included in FM10?
